80’s music had more sax solos, more synthesizer driven, rock, heavy drum beats. Newer stuff seems to be from all the same mold, it’s either emo rock with constant strumming of the guitar, not too much high notes anymore and stuff like the 80’s, or fluffy pop aimed at youth with light beats and electronic sounds, or rap which is more ghetto than the 80’s.
This sense of fun is what’s missing from her music now. No one can tell me that any of her new stuff is better than this!

she and Christopher as a heart and soul
i wonder what he wrote in an complete book about her… she is really not amusead about christophers book ABOUT heR!

Great words dude,agree entirely. I saw the same TOTP and thought exactly like you.
When I first saw Madonna, she was on “Top of the pops” singing “Holiday”. She was so young, beautiful and innocent. The song is still very nice even today.

The Tube was one of the few shows which had live bands and no lip-syncing and was considered the coolest music show…as for Madonna’s performance even then she was a law unto herself and preferred to lip-sync if she was having to dance energetically…vanity I suppose, but you can’t blame this particular show, it was iconic in it’s day!
